MDF

MDF
The concept of MDF was born from the initials of the words Medium Density Fiberboard. It stands for medium density fiberboard. Approximately 90% of MDF boards are wood.

MDF Features
MDF is highly resistant to heat and moisture.
MDF table surface is flat and smooth.
It is suitable for painting. The smoothness of the MDF surface is very suitable for painting.
In addition, its surface is suitable for coating.
It takes shape easily. Its edges are as smooth as its surface and desired decorative models can be created.
MDF is cheaper than natural wood products and other engineered plywood sheets.

Usage areas
MDF, which has an extremely smooth and homogeneous surface, creates a very good base for both painting and decorative foil or wood coating. It is also used in ceilings, door frames, doors, handrails, built-in wardrobes, doors, trunks and backs, office desks, kitchen and bathroom cabinets.

When we compare MDF with wood, MDF is a product made from wood particles, but it is not stronger than wood. It can split or crack when subjected to stress. It can absorb water faster than wood. So it can cause swelling and damage.

MDF is a denser and more durable material than chipboard. While there are voids in chipboard, MDF is void-free because it is obtained by more intense pressing of powdered wood pieces. For this reason, MDF provides an advantage over chipboard in screw assembly and disassembly.

Raw MDF
Raw MDF is a product obtained by pressing the plate paste, which is formed after the fibers obtained from wood thermomechanically, are dried to a certain degree of humidity with the addition of synthetic adhesive, under heat and pressure. Raw MDF is beautifully sanded and ready to paint. It is suitable for painting and its surface is also suitable for coating. It takes shape easily and has high resistance to heat and humidity.
Our Raw MDF Boards are in standard size of 2440×2100 and 2440×2800 mm and in thicknesses of 2,5-3-4-6-8-10-12-14-16-18-22-25-30 mm. In addition, for special orders, sizing can be made in the desired width starting from 2100 mm up to 2440 mm and in the length ranges of 900 mm – 2100 mm and 2800 – 4250 mm. In the meantime, we can cut our plates in desired sizes with CNS machines and deliver them to our customers.
HDF
Wood-based high-density fiberboards HDF, medium-density fiberboards consisting of resin-bonded wood fibers compressed into a panel under high pressure and heat, MDF typically has a higher density level of 900 kg/m3.
Due to its high density, HDF is thinner and therefore its usage area is narrow compared to MDF. MDF is suitable for furniture and decoration, while HDF; It is preferred in laminate flooring, wall coverings and door wings. The high moisture resistance and durability of HDF causes it to be costly.
Our HDF Plates are in standard size of 2440×2100 and 2440×2800 mm and in thicknesses of 2,5-3-4-6-8-10-12-14-16-18-22-25-30 mm.
Duralit

One of the MDF types is duralite MDF. Duralit is a sheet that can be processed very easily. It is durable and less likely to deform. For this reason, it is one of the most preferred MDF models. The natural resin contained in the wood is used in the hardening of the board by being released with high pressure steam. The produced sheets are completely natural. This product, which is the raw material of the furniture industry, is used in the production of the back of the chair and the interior of the drawers. Duralite is also used in the construction of the ceiling and floor parts of the elevators. This sheet is a recyclable product.

Our Duralit Plates are in 1300×2500 mm standard size and 2-3 and 4 mm thicknesses. We can cut our plates in desired sizes with CNS machines and deliver them to our customers.
